Snowball Express 2-miler, January 28

Get your winter gear out and get ready for a beautiful run beside a very pristine Lake Linville! This one is for the real Polar Bears and those interested in helping a good cause - proceeds go to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Results

4K for Heart Health, February 26

Come on out and run off your Sunday dinner at the 2 p.m. event held at Renfro Valley. We'll use the same course as the Jingle Bell 6K, only 2K shorter, welcomed news for those wanting to ease their way into the running season. Results

Rocket Runner 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, March 24

Support the Rockcastle County High School girls' track team by joining us for this first time 5K on a flat and fast course, just as the Redbuds begin to ponder their first blooms. Results

Fairview Baptist Church 5K, April 21

More than 100 runners and walkers came out to this event in its very first year in 2011. Be a part of what promises to be an even bigger turnout this year. Hope for great spring weather, and expect a fun atmosphere with lots of helpful volunteers. Results

Brodhead Hustle 2-miler, May 26

In its third year, this fun event takes you through the streets of Brodhead, and the money raised is contributed to the Brodhead Homecoming festivities.

Fit Family Run, June 20

We're inviting families out for a run. We'll determine the fastest kid in town in a quarter mile run around the middle school track. Then, gather the family for a Family Fun Relay Race. Afterwards, runners and walkers can go out for a 1, 2 or 3-mile go-round.

Country Sunset 4-miler, July 13

Are you country strong? What about country fast? This first-time, Friday night event challenges you to knock out four tough country miles in Western Rockcastle County. Watch our website for details.

Run, Bike or Hike, August 25

It's the 3rd annual Rockcastle Regional Hospital Run, Bike or Hike, which is great for walkers, runners, experienced duathletes, or those who want to test the waters in their first duathlon. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge.

Livingston Leap 2-miler, September 1

The Livingston Leap grew by leaps and bounds last year. It's usually one of the hottest races of the year, but we'll trust you'll take that as a challenge. Proceeds to the Livingston Homecoming Committee.

Jerry J. Cox Bittersweet 5K, October 6

The Jerry J. Cox Bittersweet 5K is the oldest race in town. This October tradition kicks off Saturday's Bittersweet festivities. It's usually cool, and it's not terribly hilly, so times are likely to be fast.

Girls on the Run 5K, November

The 2012 Girls on the Run girls will cap their season with their own 5K, and you'll be invited too.

Jingle Bell 6K, December 1

Jingle Bell 6K attracted an amazing 192 participants last year. Help us make it more than 200 in 2012! Proceeds go to Rockcastle Regional's Miracle Fund and Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation's Resident Fund.
