One-hundred, fifteen runners and walkers braved White Christmas weather Dec. 5 to make the sixth annual Jingle Bell 6K Run/Walk the biggest ever.

The race, which begins and ends at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center, featured snowy weather and sub-freezing temperatures but didn't affect the enthusiasm of the participants, who came from as far away as Bowling Green and beyond.

Mike Carlson of Mt. Vernon was the overall male winner with a time of 20:43, while Deana Gabbard passed the women with a time of 26:56.

The leading walkers were Walter Norris with a time of 43:40 and Casey Hunt with a time of 52:18.

The Blevins family of Eubank won the Fastest Family award.

Proceeds from the race benefit Rockcastle Regional Hospital's Miracle Fund and Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation's resident fund.
