Biomedical Equipment Technician

Description:  Rockcastle Regional Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Biomedical Equipment Technician. Duties include repair of biomedical equipment and medical devices for hospital, lab, clinic, or other health care facility; accurately calibrate equipment and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in excellent condition (repairs when necessary). Ideal candidate must pay the utmost attention to detail, completed training or college courses in biomedical equipment engineering and technology, and possess knowledge of industry safety standards and applicable regulations. Qualifications:  Associate degree in electronic or biomedical equipment technology is desirable, as well as a minimum of six months’ experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
