Description: Rockcastle Regional is seeking a full time Clinical Dietitian. The Clinical Dietitian manages the clinical care of assigned patient groups, completes assessment of nutritional status and needs, as well as provides medical nutrition therapy with effective motivational interviewing skills. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of an area of expertise while communicating to the physician and other members of the healthcare team information related to current scientific nutrition knowledge and practice as well as acting as a nutrition resource and educator to the medical staff, administration, employees, students, patients, and the community. The Clinical Dietitian participates in multidisciplinary teams and provides services compliant with regulatory and accrediting agencies. They practice in compliance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics and participates in continuing education activities. Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as technical knowledge in clinical nutrition and education. Fundamental computer skills required. Must possess the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. Qualifications: One-year experience as a dietitian in a clinical setting preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and completed requirements to be a registered dietitian. Master’s degree is preferred. Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Verification of registration documented annually. Current Kentucky Licensure with the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Dietitians and Nutritionists.
