Laboratory Director

Description:  Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center, a progressive 173-bed facility in South Central Kentucky is searching for a Laboratory Director. This position directs and coordinates the overall operation of the organization’s laboratory, ensuring test results are produced accurately and timely on a 24/7 basis. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; the maintenance of all policies, procedures, quality control practices, administration of department budget, and management/supervision of the laboratory technical and support staff. In addition, this position works to preserve patient satisfaction, effective physician and interdepartmental relations. The Laboratory Director is required to maintain a laboratory service in compliance with hospital policies/procedures and full accreditation from appropriate agencies which includes the College of American Pathologists.
