Post-secondary Health Career Coordinator

Description: Post-secondary Health Career Coordinator is a full-time (40-hour week, 2 year funded) position, that coordinates recruitment activities with individuals contemplating a transition to the healthcare field, undergraduate students, college faculty and health professions education personnel to develop and implement strategies for entry and successful completion of health professional training programs.

Specific health career pipeline program activities include the establishment of educational partnerships, identification of interested/promising students, organization and implementation of academic enrichment activities, and the coordination of shadowing and health-related community service opportunities. With the collaboration of academic and community partners, these programs will target undergraduate students and adults across the Southern KY AHEC’s 15-county region.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Education or Health related discipline. A minimum two years of experience working with diverse student populations. Teaching/recruitment experience with healthcare related experience is preferred. Knowledge of health professions training programs is preferred. Applicants must have the ability to work both on a team and independently. Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are essential.
