Pre-College Health Career Coordinator

Description: The Pre-College Health Career Coordinator is a full-time (40-hour week, 18- month funded) position, responsible for the coordination of recruitment activities with middle/high school teachers, administration, college faculty and health professions education personnel to develop and implement strategies for encouraging students from our 15-county service region to pursue a health career.
Specific program activities include the establishment of educational partnerships, identification of interested/promising youth, organization/implementation of academic enrichment activities in order to prepare students for entry and successful completion of health professional training programs.

Qualifications: Minimum of Associates degree in a health-related discipline or education-related field and 2 years of experience required. Additional Education can substitute for experience. Bachelor degree in Education or Health-related discipline, preferred.

Experience working with diverse student populations teaching/recruitment experience with healthcare related experience is preferred. Applicants must have the ability to perform both on a team and independently. Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are essential for this position.
