Introducing Dr. Angela DeBord Isaacs

Rockcastle Regional is pleased to welcome Dr. Angela DeBorde Isaacs to our physician team at Rockcastle Family Wellness and Brodhead Family Care as a family medicine provider.

Dr. DeBord Isaacs earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017 and completed her residency in Hazard, KY from the University of Kentucky Eastern Kentucky Family Medicine Residency Program in 2020.

"I have found throughout my training that the most important part of the experience, and the most rewarding, is getting to form one-on-one relationships with my patients," said Dr. DeBord Isaacs. "By specializing in family medicine, not only will I have the opportunity to treat a wide variety of medical issues for my patients, but also become a trusted and lifelong primary physician for them."

She says that her philosophy on patient care is holistic, where she looks at her patient's medical history and addresses multiple areas of needs, while keeping an emphasis on preventative health. "I find the most effective medicine, and the best outcomes are achieved, when patients are provided the tools and education they need to make informed decisions and are able to take control of their own health to reach their own individualized health goals."

A native of Rockcastle County where she grew up on a small cattle farm in Willailla, Dr. DeBord Isaacs says that she is very excited to be returning home to practice. "I have always wanted to practice in a rural area, which is why I completed my medical school and residency training in underserved areas. By returning to Rockcastle County, I am able to provide services to a rural area, while also being afforded the opportunity to give back to the community that raised me."
