Rockcastle Regional is currently seeking a full-time Security Officer. Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Officer is responsible for patrolling all assigned areas of the facility; responding to all calls/Emergency codes immediately; and enforcing facility rules and regulations as directed. Officers will perform investigations and inform managers of results, inform the Director of Security of safety issues, ensure the functioning of radios, vehicles, and Life Safety Equipment. Skills required, but not limited to, include ability to: operate radio, telephone equipment, console monitors, computer, and security software; cordially interact with the public; effectively communicate via oral, written, and listening skills; assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately; and must meet physical fitness requirements. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess valid KY state driver’s license and be a minimum of 21 years of age. Security or police background preferred.
