Next Session is September 25

Rockcastle Regional’s popular educational series, “Eat, Drink, Be Healthy,” continues with its next session scheduled for Thursday, September 25 at 12:00 noon and will be held at Marcella’s Farm to Fork Restaurant.

This session promises to be both informative and empowering, especially for older adults and caregivers interested in learning practical ways to maintain independence and improve everyday function as they age. The topic, “Healthy Aging,” will focus on strategies for aging in place – a concept centered around staying safe and self-sufficient in your own home for as long as possible – and how small, everyday choices can lead to better mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Leading the discussion will be Rachel Perkins, OT, and Katelyn Paul, OT, two experienced occupational therapists with Rockcastle Regional’s Outpatient Rehabilitation. With their combined knowledge and down-to-earth approach, Rachel and Katelyn will share tools, exercises, and insights that attendees can use to stay active and engage in their daily routines – no matter their age. There will also be opportunities to ask questions and engage in conversation with the speakers and others in the community who are navigating the same stage of life.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. To reserve your spot, please call (606) 256-7381.

Whether you’re planning for your own future or helping a loved one do the same, this event is a great opportunity to learn in a relaxed and supportive setting. Join us as we explore how to live, not just longer – but better.
