Here are some sure signs of spring if you live in Rockcastle County: the weather is getting warmer, the Redbuds are blooming, and it's almost time for the Fairview 5K! To help keep everyone safe during these unusual times, the 10th Annual Fairview 5K will be virtual this year. To participate, register as usual and complete your run or walk anytime between April 6 and May 9. Pre-registration is $15.00 by Friday, April 24 at 12 noon. Family Discount: Family of 4 is $50.00 (plus tax), each additional child is $10.00. All pre-registered participants receive a free Tultex t-shirt (will be mailed to participants). Remember, to keep appropriate social distancing, it is not recommended to run or walk with those outside your household. But it IS recommended that you run, walk, or get some form of exercise while we wait for normal life to return, and there's no better way to do that than by participating in a virtual 5K!
